About [p.s] (Platonic Structure)
[p.s] is part of a multi-phase project MOA has undertaken to bring awareness to green building initiatives and off-th-grid capabilities. This single unit prototype is designed by Denver architect Douglas Eichelberger. The structure is designed to be an adjunct to tha main living quarters. [p.s] literally means "personal space: or "post script" to your home. Designed as a true platonic solid, [p.s] is a convex polyhedron, built as a three-dimensional pentagon. The units are intended for use as backyard offices, studios or gathering places.
About The Process
MOA commissioned [p.s] to add to the aesthetic of Samson Park. It is MOA's hope to use the piece as an informational kiosk to park visitors.
About Douglas Eichelberger
Eichelberger began creating art work as a child. Working with his hands led him to the construction trades. Those experiences were a natural stepping stone toward Architecture. The discipline required for Architecture has given a new order to his art work.
